The second edition of the Sendai Framework Voluntary Commitments (SFVC) Synthesis and Analysis Report has been launched on 23 May 2022 at the Global Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction 2022 (GP2022) showcasing stakeholders’ contributions to disaster resilience as submitted and published on the SFVC online platform. This report builds on continued efforts since the launch of the platform in 2018 and the publication of the first report in 2019. It boasts an astonishing 100 published voluntary commitments (VCs), 642 participating organizations and 509 concrete deliverables. In addition, it presents a detailed analysis of the VCs including their geographical scope and distribution, contribution to the Sendai Framework priorities for action, targets and indicators, contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals, hazards covered, among others.

A learning lab session will also be organized during GP2022 on 26 May, Thursday where stakeholders can learn more about the SFVC initiative and how to submit a VC in the online platform.
