SFVC Synthesis and Analysis Report 2022 is well received by stakeholders
Contributors to the SFVC Synthesis and Analysis Report 2022
The second edition of the Sendai Framework Voluntary Commitments (SFVC) Synthesis and Analysis Report was launched on 23 May 2022. The report has been well received by many stakeholders within the disaster risk reduction community.
Dr. Bernadia Irawati Tjandradewi, Secretary General of the United Cities Local Governments Asia Pacific (UCLG ASPAC) commended the report stating that, "This is a very useful document to understand how non-state organizations like my organization has been actively supporting the implementation of the Sendai Framework. UCLG has published one VC already, but I will definitely encourage my organization and my partners to publish more VCs. It is critical to raise the visibility for our important work.”
Ms. Mami Mizutori, Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General for Disaster Risk Reduction, also extended her gratitude to contributors and calls for more stakeholders to follow suit, stating that, “I wish to extend my appreciation to all those who are currently implementing VCs and making critical contributions. At the same time, I would like to encourage additional stakeholders to register VCs in the SFVC online platform.”
