Voluntary commitment life cycle

This guideline has been prepared by the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR) Kobe Office to provide guidance to stakeholders on how to use the Sendai Framework Voluntary Commitments (SFVC) online platform.

It provides contextual information about voluntary commitments as mandated by the UN General Assembly to monitor and keep track of non-state actors' contribution to the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction. It also provides step-by-step guide from how to register as a user to the platform to how to create and update a voluntary commitment. It also shares useful information on other features that can be used by the general public and frequently asked questions.

This guideline is a living document that will be updated regularly to reflect any operational changes as well as feedback and lessons learned from stakeholders. Thus, readers are encouraged to use the online version and provide comments, if any, to the UNDRR SFVC team.
