Currently, the Ertzaintza boasts a staff of 8,000 officers divided into two divisions, each specialising in specific police tasks. A team of professionals whose mission is to protect the rights and freedoms of citizens and guarantee their security against all types of crime.

Voluntary Commitments

The Sendai Framework Commitments (SFVC) online platform serves to incentivize stakeholders to inform the public about their work, to provide a vehicle for sharing commitments and initiatives and for motivation toward the implementation of the Sendai Framework. In turn, UNDRR can monitor and take stock of the progress and impact.

ENGAGE - Engage Society for Risk Awareness and Resilience
ENGAGE brings together 15 partners from 9 countries in order to provide novel knowledge and identify impactful solutions to exploit Europe's societal resilience. Ultimately, the work of ENGAGE seeks to establish a broader, citizen-centered approach to disaster risk.
