The International Water Management Institute (IWMI) is a non-profit research and development organization dedicated to providing practical solutions to a range of water management problems through the application of state of the art management tools. IWMI is one of 15 international research centers supported by the network of 60 governments, private foundations and international organizations collectively known as the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR). IWMI has a staff of about 350 and offices in 12 countries across Asia and Africa.
The Sendai Framework Voluntary Commitments (SFVC) online platform allows stakeholders to inform the public about their work on DRR. The SFVC online platform is a useful toolto know who is doing what and where for the implementation of the Sendai Framework, which could foster potential collaboration among stakeholders. All stakeholders (private sector, civil society organizations, academia, media, local governments, etc.) working on DRR can submit their commitments and report on their progress and deliverables.
