Risklayer is an independent think tank based in Karlsruhe, Germany. The Risklayer team is born out of the Center for Disaster Management and Risk Reduction Technology at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) in Germany as well as the General Sir John Monash Foundation in Australia. Risklayer’s staff are also involved in intense academic and governmental research, teaching and training activities with various universities including KIT which allow Risklayer to remain at the cutting edge of scientific and technical solutions. Within such a fertile ground for collaboration, it should be no surprise that we can draw on a wide network of international experts in many fields to achieve excellence and rapid solutions in our projects and activities.
The Sendai Framework Voluntary Commitments (SFVC) online platform allows stakeholders to inform the public about their work on DRR. The SFVC online platform is a useful toolto know who is doing what and where for the implementation of the Sendai Framework, which could foster potential collaboration among stakeholders. All stakeholders (private sector, civil society organizations, academia, media, local governments, etc.) working on DRR can submit their commitments and report on their progress and deliverables.
