Save the Earth Cambodia (STEC) is a non-government, non-profit, neutral, non-racial, non-religious, and non-political organization. STEC does not provide equipment and financial means and human resources to support any political party or its candidates.
Save the Earth promotes environmental & energy facilities, builds local capacity at community and institutional levels and creates awareness in the community and in the local authorities in regard to climate change and gender issues.
Issues concerning Climate Change are addressed by mitigation and adaptation activities that can have an impact on the environment. These activities are carried out through empowerment programs involving community and community based institutions to identify the options in regard to mitigation and adaptation, and the identified options are mainstreamed into commune development plans. Goals of Save The Earth Cambodia Longterm: by the end of 2015: - has established CBDRM and CCA initiatives in half of the country - climate Change Adaptation, gender, women and children rights are mainstreamed in half of Cambodian society - is an acknowledged organization for CBDRM development and CCA initiatives in Cambodia - is financially capable of sustaining its activities and maintaining its corporate existence Midterm - Half of Odor Meanchey Province and a quarter of the Cambodian nation is aware and supportive of CBDRR and CCA initiatives by 2012 - STEC has established continuing education programs on CCA, gender, women and children’s rights in major provinces of the country. - The STEC is invited to 75% of all CBDRM, CCA, Gender and Women’s / Children’s Rights Forums and related events in Cambodia - The STEC is capable of shouldering 25% of its financial obligations and requirements without reliance on external funding

Save the Earth is a Cambodian NGO working with national, regional and global networks. It is an example how a national NGO extends its collaborative approaches to regional and global levels that enables learning and sharing opportunities.
Save the earth is member of Cambodian Climate Change Network (CCCN), National DRR Forum, Asian Disaster Reduction and Response Network (ADRRN), Cambodia and Southeast Asia Regional Coordinating Organization Global Network of Civil Society Organizations for Disaster reduction (GNDR), Gender and disaster Network etc.

The Sendai Framework Voluntary Commitments (SFVC) online platform allows stakeholders to inform the public about their work on DRR. The SFVC online platform is a useful toolto know who is doing what and where for the implementation of the Sendai Framework, which could foster potential collaboration among stakeholders. All stakeholders (private sector, civil society organizations, academia, media, local governments, etc.) working on DRR can submit their commitments and report on their progress and deliverables.
