Mission

Generations For Peace (GFP) is a Jordan-based global non-profit peacebuilding organization founded by HRH Prince Feisal Al Hussein of Jordan in 2007.

Dedicated to sustainable conflict transformation at the grassroots, Generations For Peace empowers volunteer leaders of youth to promote active tolerance and responsible citizenship in communities experiencing different forms of conflict and violence.

Carefully facilitated sport-based games, art, advocacy, dialogue, empowerment, and media activities provide an entry point to engage children, youth, and adults, and a vehicle for integrated education and sustained behavioural change.

DRR activities

Generations For Peace empowers youth across Jordan to lead climate action and resilience efforts. Since 2022, youth have mobilised thousands of volunteers and initiatives.

Voluntary Commitments

The Sendai Framework Commitments (SFVC) online platform serves to incentivize stakeholders to inform the public about their work, to provide a vehicle for sharing commitments and initiatives and for motivation toward the implementation of the Sendai Framework. In turn, UNDRR can monitor and take stock of the progress and impact.

Generations For Peace is involved in the following commitments:

Youth being engaged in environment related work
National (or local) - Jordan
New

Youth-Led Climate Action for Resilient Communities: “SAWN” (Preservation) Project
Generations For Peace, with UNICEF and national partners, empowers youth across Jordan through SAWN to lead climate action and resilience efforts. Since 2022, youth have mobilised thousands of volunteers and initiatives; in 2026–2027 SAWN will scale leadership, community impact, and national climate advocacy.
