Mission

The Pacific Disability Forum provides leadership, serves as the regional focal point on disability issues in the Pacific and supports the various national DPOs, donor and development partners as well as civil society and the private sector in the quest to ensure that people with disabilities live in an inclusive, barrier-free and rights-based society in Pacific Island countries and territories.

Voluntary Commitments

The Sendai Framework Commitments (SFVC) online platform serves to incentivize stakeholders to inform the public about their work, to provide a vehicle for sharing commitments and initiatives and for motivation toward the implementation of the Sendai Framework. In turn, UNDRR can monitor and take stock of the progress and impact.

Leadership of persons with disabilities in delivering the Sendai Framework
The Disability-inclusive Disaster Risk Reduction Network (DiDRRN) is committed to reduce the disproportionate risk of persons with disabilities in disaster by ensuring Sendai Framework commitments on disability-inclusion are implemented practically and reflected in regional and national strategies.
