The 2020 Annual Report published contains the activities and initiatives that have been done by the Malaysian youth and young professionals, under the aegis of U-INSPIRE Malaysia.
As mentioned by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor of UKM, Prof. Dato' Dr. Imran Ho Abdullah in the foreword, “the innovative capacity of the younger generation should be utilized to ensure that best practices and scientific evidence are used to support decision-makers now, and in the future.” This inclusivity in an all-of-society approach is particularly needed for increasingly systemic risks, as revealed by the COVID-19 pandemic. Thus, spaces for youth and young professionals to collaborate are key in this endeavour.
The flagship programme “Training Series on Climate Change” is organised with support from the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia’s Southeast Asia Disaster Prevention Research Initiative (SEADPRI-UKM), the Asian Network for Climate Science and Technology (ANCST), and other partners.
